    Interesting perspective.

    I found more elucidating the performance on the past 12 months, which gives a broather view on the fund. I track more than 1.000 funds (ETFs and CEFs) on a weelkly basis and the results for the past 12 months can be found at:

    <b>www.smartinvest.com.br.../$ranketf-12m.xls</...

    On that worksheet, the fourth column should read: "STD Deviation on returns for the past 54 weeks" wich, I believe, adds critical information.

    Hello Carlos,
    Yes, I agree that volatility of returns is very important. If you're interested, I've described a similar setup with weighted rankings on the various estimated moments and metrics of return distributions.

    Just curious, do you have all funds categorized as you do in that table? Also, just to see if we're on the same page, I'm currently tracking about 1140 funds; does that number sound similar to yours?
