Joseph L. Shaefer is the CEO of Stanford Wealth Management, LLC, a Registered Investment Advisor with $30 million in assets under management. He spent 36 years of active and reserve military service, the first six in special operations. He followed this real-world experience with 30 more years in geopolitical and financial intelligence.
His career as an economic and stock analyst began in 1972 as a retail and institutional broker with Kidder Peabody, then as a principal with Investment Management Associates, which he later sold to Charles Schwab. Joe stayed at Schwab and became a Regional, then Senior, VP, with his last job the head of Fixed Income Investments. He retired to found Stanford Wealth Management, LLC, in 1990.
