  • Unemployment Drops as Jobs Decline: Do You Believe in Magic?
The unemployment rate dropped because older Americans are retiring and the younger generation is playing video games.

Keep on preaching Deflation. Meanwhile, CRB, gold, silver, wheat, copper.....all continue to go parabolic.

How long have you been forecasting Deflation? I know at least 3 years for sure. Over that timespan, prices are up a cumulative 30%+.

    LOL!!!!

  • Ben Bernanke's Tightrope Act
Ben Burnandkaput will destroy the dollar. We are about to witness true capital flight. Wealthy Americans will shift their dollars to precious metals and foreign currency. Foreign central banks will stop buying treasury and agency debt and instead sell the dollars on the open market.

Burnandkaput doesn't understand economics. You can't print your way to prosperity. If you could, he could send everyone a check for $10 million and eveyone can retire. It doesn't work that way. One way or another, Americans will be forced to live within their means. Unfortunately, that won't happen until the end of a hyperinflationary depression.

    Enjoy!!

  • Why the Fed Is Compelled to Lie to Congress
With a 2 yr treasury yielding 1.7%, we will see money velocity substantially rise and the economy will be much stronger than most think.

There are 2 ways of driving growth in the economy. Credit growth is one way and we won't see that happen anytime soon.

The other way is for money velocity to rise. With $11 trillion of m-3 earning an average 2% per annum, we will see money become a hot potato. If velocity picks up just 10%, that's an added $1 trillion per year in gdp.

Those predicting a deflationary debt collapse are just plain wrong. We will see people spend money big time rather than just sit on it and watch the purchasing power go up in smoke.
