Gold has out performed the market since 2000 .Since the market peaked in Oct gold is still up about 7-8% and the market , down over 40% and still falling and not likely to go up again for years . Gold also outperformed all sectors during the great depression .For those who think that the actions of the government is not inflationary ,you're taking the wrong medcation . You gold haters can't claim we have deflaton and then claim the gov isn't creating inflation to correct this mess.     It amazes me how the analysis of the market can be so esoteric and no where near the truth . The fundamental problem , which is simple , is that the consumer has shut down .
