I viewed your comments from a different point of view.
ETrade offered me $400 to bring one of my accts. back to them. It was in excess of $100,000. I pulled it from them to try Scottrade. This is an expensive buy back to get accounts. Don't you think so?

Much Ado about the Strategic Petroleum Reserve
If the Bush administration opened Alaska to drilling, which they just did with leases being signed last week before the polar bear being listed as endangered, do you think oil would drop in price?
If those wells started producing tomorrow, instead of 8 years from now, what would Exxon or Chevron sell the oil for in dollars?
Not for $40/barrel. Not for $100/barrel. They would sell it for the most they could get for it. The extra capacity would be a blip on the world market so the supply would be nil.
Now. If the leases were sold by the govrnment and had a clause in it that said you sell it to only the USA at cost plus a percentage then that would work. But to helter skelter sell them leases to drill and then they sell the oil to other countries at top dollar while ruining the ecological system with pollution and the destruction of lands, well it doesn't make "cents" to me.

Your saying the customer and share holders are more confident is wrong. I am both.
The foul ups continue. Last month E Trade had to send out two statements for the same month. The first one was missing the short activity.
This company may be bought but if so when and by who and by how much? Right now I have better things to do then reinforce their marginal stock price. Management is non existent when I call. I am teaching them how to react to customer complaints and their web site errors.

I am in total agreement with you.
The lending institution tried a scam on me. Reported it to the Riverside district attorney, HUD, Ca. senators Feinstein and Boxer, governor Arnold, real estate board, Ca. attorney general, better business bureau., and more. No one cared. Total run around. And now they want us to pay for it?

California Leads Way to Consumer Bust
Unrealized tax revenue in the billions comes in the form of illegal immigrant cash under the table oversight.
My house addition cost over $100,000. The construction workers were ALL paid off the books. That's 100% of them. The contractor is listed as having no employees with the contractors license board.
Senators Feinstein & Boxer could care less.
Arnold, in my opinion, could care less at this point about the budget. He put forth 4 great propositions when he first went into office. The dumb people of Callyfornia voted all four down. Now reap the whirlwind....

Yahoo to Icahn: You Have Your Facts Wrong
9 independant directors at $5,000 ea. per meeting equals $45,000 per meeting. If there were 20 meetings that would amount to $900,000.
Not much accomplished for that kind of money.

      E*Trade Primed for a Breakout
I handle 7 portfolios with E Trade. Most were through Brown Co. when E Trade bought them.
I have pulled one $100,000 plus portfolio because I was not satisfied with customer service. They do not know their jobs and I am continually on the phone trying to set things right. The phone times range from 1/2 hour to a full hour.
Based on their lack of knowledge and lack of expertise I would not venture a buy on their shares.
