I Guess This Means AIG Stock Will Rise 10% Tomorrow
Awful news. Should run the whole market up at least 1%.

Hey, the Citigroup news todays should be good for at least another 1%.

Look for a 2% day today.

Housing Market Tracker - Asia Hurting From Subprime, But Surviving
"KfW has now put aside a total of €6.8B to prop up IKB, which was the first German casualty of the subprime mortgage crisis..."

Rumor of the Day: Bear Goes Belly Up
"Meanwhile, spreads on the company’s credit default swaps have widened dramatically, to between 700 and 800 basis points, compared with about 450 points Friday."

This is exactly the sort of move that preceded the waterfall move in TMA stock prices. It would appear to me that credit market participants have information that stock market participants, particularly retail participants, don't have.

The tell will come in the bond auction markets. If the auction failures continue, we'll know that investors aren't drinking this kool-aid.
