Desire for Safety Has Made the Financial World Risky
What a Time to Be a Value Investor
Why Wall St. Needed Credit Default Swaps
I am ashamed to be the holder of an Ivy League MBA...The ethos of greed and manipulation was part of the education I received in some of the Finance text books ...(structured finance) and many of the Professors who taught me and wrote the books are evil people ...They cared not a "whit" about the results of their endevours (like the people who created Atom Bombs) on their felow man ..Only tight regulation by our equally selfish legislators will police the environment where these kinds of evils are created and unleashed by such people.. .. . Look ...Oh where was the oversight? Later in my career I lived through the dotcom greed in Silicon Valley and this situation is extremely similar....Where was the FED? SEC? Treasury, Academia? Like Enron and the Accounting Professor on the Enron Auditing comitte they were enjoying the pay that motivated them to look the other way and overlook their professional standards,..Our leaders should be ashamed!!....Is that a word still in the dictionary? I am ashamed to be the the recepient of an IVY LEAGUE MBA....What wanton destruction my colleagues have unleashed upon my country??.. Most have no shame ...Typically they I foud my finance colleagues to be one dimensional analytical people with no sense of empathy or genuine emotions .Like dutifull soldiers they are quick follow the master plan to create immense wealth at the price of the destruction of all the values we cherish and hold dear.
I strongly urge that we modify the MBA programs, scrutinize the people who enter, and of course regulate the freedom the graduates receive to destroy the values we lived by till now. If we do not act soon the enemy within will destroy us and of course the new rulers will create a ruling class that will be quite different...
Humility to learn from this debacle is essentail.
